The platform's clean sheet design allows the best battery pack placement and lower center of gravity resulting in better payload to range ratios.
The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The refrigerated trucks of class 4 have a single interior wall structure, and higher insulation than conventional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior capacity for cargo and an industry-leading payload to reach the range of zero-emission transport of passengers or goods.
GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems, which will enable fleets to move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.
We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on a local highway for several hours,
green Power scooters and found it to be simple to drive and comfortable to drive for long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over bumps and ruts, and the EV9 does an excellent job of reducing road noise and wind on the highway. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising quick, and it features adjustable regenerative brakes to enable "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.
The EV9 offers a great range and can be charged in just three hours or less at home, or with any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode prioritizes the torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both modes are fun to drive, and offer a unique experience for those who've never experienced driving an electric vehicle before.
In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicles available, including a multi-purpose all-electric minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle,
